Emily Vixie

Registered Dental Hygienist

Emily Vixie joined Jordan Family Dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist in July of 2006. She has lived in or around Austin since she was just a baby - her parents still live in her childhood home in Round Rock. She and her husband, Aaron were married in June of 2003, and moved to Southern California shortly after, so that Emily could attend the Dental Hygiene program at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Shortly after graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in 2005, the couple decided to move back to Texas and moved into their current home in Cedar Park in September of 2006.

Emily and Aaron have a new addition to their family. Their baby girl, Trynn Olivia was born in April of 2011. While “baby makes three” has certainly changed things around the Vixie household, Emily is enjoying watching Trynn discover and experience everything for the first time. Emily’s family description would not be complete without including, Otto, her 4-year-old German Shepherd. Otto is a big momma’s boy and has become very protective of his new baby sister.

Emily enjoys being creative and likes to draw and paint when the inspiration hits. Recently, decorating has been on her mind the most - her husband teases that she’s addicted to catalogs and HGtv. Besides planning out home improvement projects, Emily spends her free time taking long walks and spending time with family. She credits her two sisters as being her best friends.

Sonya Frazer

Registered Dental Hygienist

Sonya Frazer graduated from Austin Community College’s Dental Hygiene program in May of 2010. Sonya may be relatively new to dental hygiene, but she has literally jumped in with both feet. After temping for different offices in the Austin area, she found her fit, here, at Jordan Family Dentistry in June of 2011. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Austin District Hygiene Association; as well as a Co-chair on our Community Board. Sonya has never met a stranger, and our patients complement her for her warm and caring personality.

A self-described “Army Brat,” Sonya has lived in several parts of our country as well as over seas. She has lived in Germany, El Paso, Colorado, California, Indiana and now calls Texas home. She has lived in the Austin area since February of 2005, and eventually moved to Georgetown in June of 2010. She laughingly describes her family as “somewhat settled,” now, with only a few boxes yet to be unpacked.

Family is Sonya’s main focus. She and her husband, Jason were married in 2007. Her handsome son, Austin is a Freshman this year at Rouse High School. They have two dogs, Marley and Daisy. Marley is a rambunctious Golden Retriever puppy, and Daisy is a cutie-pie Beagle mix. Sonya has her hands full juggling Austin’s busy sports schedule and the family’s active home life. When she’s not on the sidelines cheering Austin on (Go Rouse Raiders!), she tries to volunteer whenever possible at her church, Rock Pointe. Sonya credits spending time with her family and hanging out with friends as her favorite past times, as well as traveling and occasionally sneaking in a little shopping.

Wendy Shores

Registered Dental Assistant

Wendy Shores began working with Dr. Jordan as his dental assistant in August of 2007. She became his lead assistant in 2011, with 7 years of experience under her belt. Wendy radiates compassion, and our patients compliment her for the way she helps makes them feel comfortable during their dental appointments.

Originally from Temple, Texas, Wendy first moved to the Austin area in 2003. She then settled in Cedar Park, shortly after, in 2004. Wendy has an 8-year-old son, Jack, who keeps her on her toes and helps her wrangle the family cat, Gunner.

Wendy enjoys being outdoors; she finds running to be a good way to unwind and feels it helps her to organize her thoughts. She also gets out on the weekends to explore the hiking trails here in Austin. Wendy likes to cook; she gets a kick out of trying new recipes and putting her own spin on them in the kitchen. She’s also always up for a game of chess, which contributes to her well-rounded personality.

Gracie Larrea

Registered Dental Hygienist

Gracie Larrea joined our practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist in June of 2010. She graduated from The University of Texas Dental School, Houston Texas in 1990 and has been practicing dental hygiene for the last 21 years.

Gracie and her husband of 14 years have lived in Cedar Park since 2000. They have one son, Jacob who keeps them busy juggling academics, athletics and church activities. Their dog, Max rounds out their family with a loyal heart and a sweet disposition.

Gracie and her family love to travel. They try to make each trip they take special by traveling somewhere different each time. Health and fitness are a priority for Gracie. She enjoys cycling, swimming, running and lifting weights. The family takes time each year to hit the slopes to get their snow-skiing fix.

Gracie is also involved with her church family. She has been volunteering as a Sunday School teacher for the Middle School aged students at Hill Country Bible Church since 2000. She feels that the opportunity to help the church’s youth grow in their relationship with God is spiritually fulfilling.

Mary Zorn

Office Coordinator

Registered Dental Assistant

Mary Zorn became a part of our practice in October of 1989. She is an accomplished dental assistant with 27 years of experience, and wears many hats at Jordan Family Dentistry. Mary is our Office Coordinator. You will see her at the front desk, greeting patients with a smile, as well as in the operatories with Dr. Jordan helping him to make your appointment as comfortable as possible.

Mary is originally from Lawrence, Kansas. She and her husband of 24 years, Michael, moved to Round Rock in 1989. They’ve since had identical twin girls, Kelsie and Kendra, who attend Texas A&M University in College Station. The family enjoys attending St. Williams Catholic Church.

Mary likes to get outdoors in her free time. She enjoys walking, biking and exercising. She is a seasoned scrap-booker and avid reader. Family is Mary’s main priority and looks forward to each time the whole family can be together.

Debbie Parish

Office Manager

Registered Dental Assistant

Debbie Parish first joined our practice in January of 1987. After a brief hiatus, she rejoined the practice in September of 2001. Debbie has been our Office Manager since her return in 2001, but is also an accomplished Dental Assistant with 37 years of experience.

Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Debbie and her family moved to Austin in 1984. They have been Cedar Park residents since 1985. She has been married for 35 years and has 2 grown children. Her four grandchildren (one girl and three boys) are the loves of her life. Her rat terrier, Lily and cat, Gracie complete the family.

Debbie loves to travel, and really enjoys motorcycle rides through the Texas Hill Country with her husband, Joe. When she’s not shuttling between sporting events to cheer her grandkids on, she likes to indulge herself by relaxing with a good book.
